A variant of Helga (female) or Helge (male)
This was my guess but I checked at http://www.nordicnames.de/flick_h/flick_h.html
Old Norse "heilagr" = holy "You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."
"It does not become me to make myself smaller than I am." (Edith Södergran 1891-1923)

Hege is a variant of Helga, is what Ylva is trying to say. It's a simplified/altered form but it has the same meaning.Besides, Hege is in the database (click the link) - you could have looked it up yourself!
