I came across this name when I was looking up the etymology of the name of a lake in Great Britain, namely Lake Windermere. See the Wikipedia entry:

Now, I find myself wondering about the etymology of Vinandr, because I quite like it. Is there any chance that it could be related to the Germanic name Winand (which is featured in the Submitted Names Database)?
