Niklas and Ebba
Niklas for a boy, and Ebba for a girl... does anybody know where these names are from? They sound German to me, if anyone knows anything I'd be grateful!

Hi Cassie,Niklas is a Low German form of Nikolaus (Nicholas in English) and Ebba is a Low German form of Old High German names starting with Eber- (e.g. Eberharda, Ebergund, Eberhild etc.) or Eylb- (e.g. Eylberta, Eylburg etc.).Niklas is used in the north of Germany as well as in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands.Ebba is very popular in Sweden at the moment and it is used in the other countries mentioned above as well, especially in Denmark. If somebody asked me: Guess what country Ebba and Niklas live in, I'd alway say Sweden!Satu
