Maybe its related to the French Ciel, meaning sky or heaven. Ciel is derived from the Latin "cælum," meaning sky (which some would argue was stolen from the *Albanish*).

Or maybe it comes from cielo (ciela being a feminine form of the word)that is spanish and also means sky.
