It doesn't sound like a Polish name, 'y' isn't used in Polish it's always a 'j' and it just doesn't sound typically Polish.
It sounds a bit like a variant of Haniyya (click on), which is Arabic.
Also the word hon-ya means bookshop in Japanese.
