When visiting an Arts & Entertainment foundation I saw a plauque which dedicated the foundation to the builder's mother, AWS. Her first name was Araxine!
Does anyone know anything about the name Araxine? And how would you pronounce it? I'd think that it's Latin or French but am unsure.

Hi, Ladybug! After all this time. I don't know if you'll see my response, but....
I went to the same building, and had the same question. Not much on this name on all the Internet, but I did find info on a derivitive,"Araxie", here:

Armenian for "river".
Nice unusual name for new moms who want something a little different. I might name a pet cat this name.
