It is not common, but Bristol Palin is not the only one.
For example, there was a girl named Bristol born in the state of Nebraska in 2007, according to official records.
There is a dentist in the Atlanta, Georgia area named Dr. Bristol Williams (probably a man) who has donated money to the Barack Obama campaign, according to the Huffington Post online donor registry. :)
