Subject: Teocalli

Well, my name (Mary) translates somehow into so many languages, it has been very helpful while in international business. It is not my question.

I am interested in the meaning and origin of the name Teocalli. I've seen it used for Spanish music and folk dance, possibly when same originates from Mexican culture. The word didn't turn up in a couple of online word look-ups. Possibly it is not Spanish but something from the original inhabitants of the isthmus between North and South America.

Thanks for any help or ideas,
Mary
