Jennifer
JENNIFER is said to have been almost entirely Cornish until last century. But this spelling first appeared about 1800. Prior to that it was usually Jenefer. Also, in Cornwall, it would appear that Jane and Jenefer were (maybe still are) considered to be the same name. I have numerous examples from parish records.Does anyone know any more?

It's generally thought that Jennifer is derived from the welsh name Gwenhwyfar.
