Polish name: from the Psemysl area. Jedryka has an e-ogonek I think it comes from 2 slavic words.
Jedr and ryka. nucleus of the hand - power within the centre of the hand.
My father thinks that it may have come to the area from the french (Napoleonic war).
Of course I am open to other suggestions - ideas.
