This was the name of my great-great-great maternal grandmother. I have never heard of it before and can't find it on any database I look on. Has anyone heard of this name and what it might mean??
She was a French-Canadian woman, very possibly with Métis blood. I am pretty confident this is the spelling of it, but it was spelled out to me orally by my great-grandmother some years ago and my memory might be fuzzy. The pronunciation is "tar-seel".
