Looks like a(n anglicised?) variant of the German last name "Blickensdörfer" which means "Inhabitant of Blickensdorf".
Blickensdorf is a village near the town of Baar in Switzerland.
The name "Blickensdorf" itself is derived from the term "BLick ins Dorf" which means "view into the village".
(That's at least what Wikipedia says ;) )
