Do you have any documents that show how your name was written in Chinese characters? The Chinese language is full of homonyms (words that are pronounced the same and have different meaning), especially when you consider that Chinese is a tonal language and any transliteration of a Chinese word or name into the Roman alphabet can be pronounced in several different tones. So you really need to have someone who knows how to read Chinese characters look at them in order to interpret for sure what the name meant. Otherwise, there will probably be several different possibilities which no one will be able to decide between. :)
