How would one pronounce this french unisex name, does it vary with the spelling? It has an / accent over the e after the m, if it is pronounced Es-MAY with the accent could it be pronounced Es-MIE (me) without? Does anyone now the history of the name, beyond its meaning, like whether anyone famous has ever had this name?
