Well, the name actually exists, with various spellings. I am not sure about the origin of the name, because I found it has been used as a woman's name in Europe in the 19th century, as well as a man's name in Zaire in the 20th century.Mozalia is a town in the north-east of Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire). The name Mosalia (also used as a man's name) in Swahili means "left". But I also found a text, stating that there was a port or coastal town named Mosalia (Muslipatna) in ancient Orissa (a state of India, located on the east coast of India, by the Bay of Bengal)http://www.orissa.gov.in/e-magazine/Orissareview/nov-2007/engpdf/Pages27-41.pdf

Mausolea? The plural of mausoleum.

It's OK to give any name or word your own "meaning" as long as you don't claim that it historically had that meaning before you invented it.How is the name pronounced? If your mother just heard it, it's possible the spelling is normally very different from the one you have.

thank you everyone for your responses. to cleveland: no I would never claim that I "invented" the meaning I would just say that I believe that it means "supreme ruler of all that mankind knows" and of course I am just kidding about that. its pronounced M-oz-ah-lee-ah. agian thank you everyone for your kind hints. I asked my mother is she could remember where she heard the name and she says that she can't remember where, just that she did and she loved the sound of it.
