I believe dramaelf's meaning is correct. Aquinnah is a Native American place name; it was never a feminine given name (to my knowledge!) but it does have a lovely sound. That particular place is usually called Gay Head nowadays. I've been there.

Fox's meaning is incorrect. It just is. Haha.
