The Meaning of Tamaya

Tamaya was always a name that I hated which is why I go by Lynn, but I'm curious about what it actually means. I know that Amaya is Japanese for night rain, but I can't figure out Tamaya. My mother got the name from a childhood friend of hers and she never knew where it was from either. If you could help me out it would be appreciated greatly :)

I noticed in your message that you had a link to Tamaya; I followed it and its origin is Native American and it means "in the center" in Quechua. Personally, I like it. It's original.

Alternately, it could be a made up name created purely from the particles "ta" "may" and "a", or simply Amaya with the prefix Ta- attached to it.
