Suffixes
Can anyone tell me what the female equivalent of the suffix 'son' is, please? This is for a character in a world that is decidedly English, so a Mac/Nic prefix or Ski/Ska suffix just doesn't feel right.
I've looked for it myself, but just can't find anything helpful.Otherwise, could anyone recommend another form of son of/daughter of denotation that might be suitable? Thanks in advance; even if no one can help, thanks for reading...

If...you make your character Icelandic, you can use -dottir:http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=27418&board=gen~ Ivayla,
skillfully disguised as a responsible adult

That's exactly the kind of thing I've been looking for and it could work.
Thanks so much!!!
