When it says "popularity", it doesn't mean what we like, it means the actual factual popularities, not what we like.

That means the popularity of names actually given to children, not peoples' current favourites or their opinions on what's currently popular.
Besides, if you want to know which names are currently popular, it's silly to ask a board where we don't discuss what people's likes and dislikes are. The opinions board *is* the right place for this question.
