My great-grandmother x3 was called Remillion. No idea what it means, where it comes from etc. Can anyone help.

HI - my middle name is Remillion - it was found in an old family bible that someone was called it in the mid 1800s - nobody knows where it came from - could be it cornish?

I have a gnawing suspicion that your anscestors were accomplished little french rowers. And I explain myself: Remillion is the french diminutive for the name Remy which is derived from the Latin "remigare" (to row).
