Meaning of the name "Kizzeria"
My great-great-grandmother's name was Kizzeria. She had a sister named Belzorah. Their father was a minister, and their mother was part-Cherokee. I don't know if either of those facts have any bearing (if the names are Biblical or N-Am. in nature), but I would like to know the meaning of "Kizzeria." Thank you!

Hmmm..the fact that their father was a minister makes me think that Kizzeria could be a diminutive of the biblical name Keziah (which sometimes sees the nickname "Kizzy"). In the Bible, Keziah wand Jemima are daughters of Job. Very interesting name.

Thank you very much. That makes a lot of sense. Her daughter, my great-grandmother, always said it was pronounced "Kiz-are-uh", and her nickname that she went by was Kizzy. I appreciate your help!
