I would say 'al-SEE-pay'

Alcippe is certainly an interesting name... just read the BtN for it... not sure I'd ever use it though, at least for a child. I wouldn't want to answer the question 'ma, what's the story behind my name?'

For a character in a book... now that'd be interesting. Thank you for making me aware of it. I think I may use it in a story.
