Re: NEEDED TO BE AMENDED
It is not that simple. Baran is listed in the name book of the Türk Dil Kurumu (Turkish language association), search for Baran on this web page: http://www.tdk.org.tr/index.php?option=com_kisiadlari&view=kisiadlariThey even claim a Turkish origin for that name: Köken: T. and confirm masculine usage: The colour is blue and Cinsiyet: (Erkek). They would never admit a Kurdish origin but usually they tell you the name is "Farsi" instead. From this I conclude, that the usage "Turkish" is correct as far as I can see.It also has Kurdish usage, as can be seen by consulting e.g. this website http://www.kurdname.webs.com/kurdishnames.htmConclusion: I will add Kurdish usage, but keep the Turkish usage.
