Jehue
Does anyone know where this first name came from, how you pronounce it, and what it means? It was used repeatedly in the geneology research my family is doing on the surname of "Deeds".

"Jehue" is a spelling variant of Jehu, a Biblical Hebrew name that means "himself who exists" (thank you again, Mr. "Bible Names" Hitchcock). I would guess the Hebrew pronunciation might treat the J as a "y" sound and earlier America might pronounce it as a "j", but I'm speculating. In either case, the final "e" would be silent.
