I was watching TV (in Germany) and there was a boy called ILONAS. Now I suspect that somebody took the na female name ILONA and added an S (like the Greeks used to do: JONAS for JONA) to make it look masculine. The name is absolutely uncommon in Germany. What about other countries?

Some quick Googling seems to show that Ilonas is a name used in Latvia. Latvian male names tend to end in -s.
