I've been to Alberta once, ostensibly to attend a family wedding but actually to go to the West Edmonton Mall, but that was many years ago and I don't remember much of it. All I remember is 1. missing the majority of the wedding because Dad had to iron his pants, and 2. nearly getting drowned in the wave pool at the Mall.

So, I can't say if there are a lot of weird people in Alberta. Sorry!
