Re: What is the meaning of my name Quenya
So when it is made up it has no meaning. The only thing I know named Quenya is one of the Elvish languages created by JRR Tolkien. Quenya is the older one and compares to Latin in our society, while the majority of Elves in the legendarium are speaking Sindarin, a younger language, in their conversations.

The Lord of the Rings was first published in 1954. According to one of the sources in my previous post, die-hard fans have been writing in Quenya since the 1970s. It is perfectly possible for your parents to have been aware of the constructed language at the time of your birth in 1998, 44 years after the publication of the books.

This is all starting to confused me if they are such "die hard fans" of lord of the rings then why do they Pronounce "Quenya" as "Quinn-yay" and futher more why do people keep miss Pronouncing "Quenya" as "Quinn-yah"

Without hearing it pronounced, the spelling reminds me of Kenya, the country. And Kenya is used as a name in English-speaking countries, so it could be a simple respelling.
