Well, the pronunciation given in the database is the French pronunciation. I think when this name is used by Spanish speakers (who are those most likely to give it to daughters) it is normally pronounced in two syllables.

It's LOOR-des in Spanish an loord in French, but in France it's not used as a name AFAIN.I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. ~Albert Einstein
