Why is someone constantly deleting the categories I add for Japanese names and how can I prevent this?
I love Japanese names and I know we won't get statistics for a while because of the problem of adding them to the database. So I made categories for every decade a Japanese name appears in the Top 10 for.E.g. "Top 10 in Japan - 1990s", "Top 10 in Japan - 2000s" etc.I use the Meiji Life Insurance Data which is pretty much the best source we have.To me they are helpful because I can see when a name was fashionable. It was also a lot of work to create those so I find it rude that they are just deleted by someone. They were definitely deleted for Sachiko recently. I will add them again because I find them important. But I'd really like to know who is doing this so it can be stopped. Please rate my list: https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/6232

Hi Perrine,You can see the revision history for the tags here: https://www.behindthename.com/tags/history.php?name=sachikoIt doesn't seem like they were ever added for Sachiko. If you are sure you remember adding them, then perhaps there was an error message upon saving that you didn't notice. Or perhaps you forgot to push the save button altogether after adding the category (I have done this in the past).Mike

Thank you! I am so confused, I was sure to have re-added them at least twice already. Thanks!

I just tried adding "top 10 in Japan - 1990s" and it worked (I removed again since I wasn't sure if that was the right category for that name).

You can see who added or deleted a category by looking the revision history. Click edit --> revisions. Here's the history for Sachiko: https://www.behindthename.com/tags/history.php?name=sachikoAnd here are the latest category edits (all names): https://www.behindthename.com/tags/latest.php
