Artem ...
Does anyone know what the male name Artem means?I found one source that said that Artem is Greek and means "Healthy", however I do not know if that is accurate.Edited to add that it is a male name.

It probably is related to the Greek Goddess, Artemis, the goddess of the hunt. So healthy would be justifiable.

It can be a variant spelling of the Russian name Artyom. In cyrillic letters, the "yo" sound is an e with two dots above. But Russian speakers tend to leave the dots out, and sometimes they are lost in transliteration.*****

Is it male or female?, could it be a form of Artemis / Artemisios / Artemidoros

The only time I've seen it used it was a male, so I would assume that it is a male name. I have considered the possibly of a connection to Artemis though. Thank you Paula!
