NRS have released the top 100 most popular names in Scotland each year from 1935-1973:

It's clear how conservative Scottish naming patterns were, especially in the earlier years, compared to other English-speaking countries (USA, New Zealand, England & Wales). For example, the name Shirley hit the top 10 in the 1930s in all of these regions, but only ranked 45 in Scotland in 1935.
