The meaning of Solié.
I submitted the surname Solié some time back (https://surnames.behindthename.com/name/solie10/submitted), but am curious on its meaning? The most I could find, from the last time I checked, is that it was borne by Jean-Pierre Solié, a French cellist. I also found an apparent meaning, however this was for Solie (note the lack of É) (https://www.houseofnames.com/solie-family-crest), which seems to be a Norman name. Every other link seems to be a baby name website, and I don’t trust those, though they’re all for a feminine name, Solie. So far, there don’t seem to be any good leads on the meaning of Solié.Any insight and/or suggestions would be appreciated.…og en god dag til deg, fra niko.

As far as I know. Jean-Pierre Solié was born as Jean-Pierre Soulier and changed the spelling of his last name later in life. So you'd have to check for Soulier to find the meaning.

Soulier seems to mean shoe in French. Ancestry says it’s an old occupational name for a shoemaker. I’ll change Solié’s description to note that Jean-Pierre Solié had changed his name (possibly making Solié a variant of Soulier?).
