Glencora
Have you heard if this name before? From what I can find online is that it originated from the Trollope's Palliser novels. I suppose its meaning would be lady of the valley or heart of the valley depending on what translation of Cora you take. Can anyone give me more infromation on it or its heratiage?

I knew a girl in college called Glencora. Her mother got the name from "The Pallisers" the T.V. adaption of the Trollope novels. AFAIK Trollope coined the name himself. He frequently used names which were metaphorical - for example a good but boring man is John Grey. Glencora's stuffy, proud husband is Plantagenat. Sorry can't give you information.
