Checked www.livingweb.com/library/projects/hitchcock/n.htm but - as I suspected - Hitchcock was probably too stumped with Nanaea :)

I think the good Reverend Hitchcock was a Protestant Christian , and the second book of the Maccabees (in which my namesake appears) most likely wouldn't have been in his bible. It appears in the Jewish Tanakh, however -- and I think (but I'm not sure) in Roman Catholic bibles. Is it in Greek Orthodox bibles, too?BTW, I checked for my name, too, on that website. Good old *Nanaia* does appear in Greek Orthodox bibles :)
