Catrin is pronounced CAT-rin. The 'a' is short and the 'r' is rolled (so it almost sounds like CAT-er-rin).

D's and T's are occasionally interchangeable in Welsh names c.f. Trystan and Drystan or Tarren and Darren. Catrin probably went to Cati and then to Cadi.
