Nthanda would be n-TAHN-da. The -th- doesn't indicate the English (Spanish, Greek) sound we get in this and thistle; it shows that the t sound is devoiced/pronounced more quietly than a usual t. And the n- is a n sound, like humming with your mouth open; not In- or Ne- .
