After Ruby began to suffer stress symptoms from work, it was decided that they needed a holiday. Already having friends in the area, Alessa suggested Copenhagen, and three months later, they were off. Mercifully, Cecilia was quiet on the plane journey there. The family of three rented a holiday flat for their stay, and started to enjoy their time away from home.
Alessa, always having a weakness for a baby's smile, made an immediate attachment with one of the children her friend was a social worker for. Though the decision was made with care, and time was taken, the couple adopted Søren Phoenix. Cecilia, being almost three at this point, was drawn to this new addition, and so far seems to adore her little brother.
