By the time Paradox retired from his (not-so-) criminal empire, his "protégée" Black Eve had completely taken over his operations.
However, she doesn't work alone. Along her path, Black Eve had formed a close partnership with a hero-gone-rogue, RedEye, who had broken bad ever since she seduced him into the dark path. Or at least, that's the official story. In reality, when Benjamin Sheridan's heat vision powers manifested, he chose to become the superhero RedEye, but meeting with and uncovering the truth behind the Paradox/Black Eve cover led him to consider a life of covert heroism instead. Eventually, he made up his mind, and now the ghettos of New Jorvik are under the Red and Black ruling couple.
But outside their charade, Iris and Sherry - he used to be called Benjamin, but Iris found it unwieldy; inspired by her sister always referring to her husband by a contraction of his surname she decided to apply the same principle and shorten Sheridan to Sherry - have five children of their own. Vera, Raymond, Benjy, Bella, and Winter all know about their parents being fake supervillains, and they - especially Raymond, who may or may not be starting to manifest powers circa the time he hit puberty - find it an intriguing potential future career...
