Fifteen years have gone by. Todd and Devyn are now helping their youngest child move out of the house. On his eighteenth birthday, Kyan enrolled in the Air Force Academy, following the footsteps of his brother, Shiloh, who graduated last year.
Shiloh is currently in year one of his eight year commitment to the Air Force, and he is currently stationed in Texas, working as a civil engineer there. He enjoys building and designing things, and has always loved airplanes. He is currently engaged to a woman he met just after his assignment to Texas. He and Marisa are planning to be married in three months.
Karissa, 20, married her high school sweetheart six weeks after graduation. She and Zach have two energetic little boys--Aven and Max.
Kelsie, 19, is a sophomore at a large state college. She is studying psychology and wants to be a counseling psychologist someday, she thinks.
Kyan, 18, just started courses at the Air Force Academy, and is enjoying his time there. He misses the small menagerie of animals they have at home, but is otherwise having a blast!
Eisley and Jet have since passed away; however, the McAllisters have acquired several new dogs and a cat along the way. Bear, a bloodhound mix, was Kelsie's tenth birthday present--and he's still spending his days sleeping on the front porch. Elia was Shiloh's "project animal" for a few years. She is a Samoyed, a furry white dog with a curled tail. Shiloh trained her to compete in various agility competitions while he was in high school. Now, she's retired to a life of leisure. Similarly, Kyan also had a "project animal"--a Puggle named Kyrie whom he worked with in agility and obedience training as well as getting her certified as a therapy dog. Devyn still takes her to one of the local nursing homes every once in awhile. The residents love her. Clifford the Great Dane is Devyn's dog. When Kyan started training Kyrie, Devyn saw the benefits a dog could bring for older adults. Devyn purchased Clifford as a puppy to start training him for the same sort of thing. Clifford ended up a staggering 33 inches at the shoulder and weighs close to 200 pounds. He is one of the most gentle dogs Devyn has ever seen--even moreso than the other three dogs in the house. In addition to all the dogs, the McAllister family has a cat--Maisy. She just kind of adopted the family as her own. She is a orange tabby cat. They aren't really sure where she came from--just that she appeared on the front porch one day and hasn't left. She doesn't care to be inside, but is often found slinking around the outside of the house. The dogs leave her alone, for the most part (Except for Kyrie, who likes to play).
