It's been five years. Max and Ella have decided not to have anymore kids. Their four little rascals are enough for them. Lolo is now in middle school and excelling, as always. She keeps bringing home this boy named Soren Stanley. She calls him her "boyfriend," despite the fact that they're only thirteen. They've become incredibly good friends though and Max and Ella love to see their daughter happy and comfortable around boys.
Ally is now twenty and off on her own. She is currently living with her boyfriend, Cory Kuenzi. Una is five and she has a baby sister, Remington or Remy for short. Cory knows all about Ally's rough history and started off being incredibly kind to her when they first met a couple years ago. But things have started to go downhill since then. He has started to abuse her. Max and Ella keep trying to convince Ally to leave him but she refuses, especially now with a newborn in the house. It saddens Ella to see her adopted daughter go through something so terrible as an abusive relationship, especially after her difficult childhood.
