It's been a busy five years.
Matthias and Despina welcomed a third child, Fiona. Her first name is decidedly Britisj, whilst her middle names are more international and are used or have comparable equivalents in all the languages her family uses. Little Henrietta and Aleksi are growing up fast. Henrietta has taken an interest in music, and is learning the piano, whilst Aleksi remains more scientific and enjoys making a mess with 'experiments' and 'wild-life spotting' in the garden.
Mélisande and Lysander have remained in the US and welcomed another daughter too. They picked the name Miranda for her, and her middle names have no special meaning, just being more dramatic names that they favoured. Talking of drama, little Bathsheba has taken to acting in plays at her preschool and they hope she will have acting and drama in her future.
Vincent and Petra have gotten married, but remained in Helsinki not far from his parents. Petra is a sports therapist and skiing teacher, Vincent is working at a degree in oceanography. They haven't thought about having a family yet.
Nicholas has also gotten married. His wife is a Swedish-Finnish woman from Hanko. Her family speaks Swedish, which has posed a bit of a language barrier, although that was quickly overcome. Ingrid is a marine biologist, and they met through Nicholas' older brother Vincent. Meanwhile, Nicholas is still unsure what he wants to do with his life, and is working as a free-lance writer whilst he works out what he wants for his future. They've just welcomed a little boy. Initially a shock, he's become a welcome addition to their young family. They named him Gabriel Tomas, as it works well in English and Swedish and isn't -too- odd in Finnish.
Kseniya has moved back to London to study fashion. Whilst crashing with Matthias, she met her current boyfriend, Sam Crowley, a journalism student. Together they've just had twin boys, Adam and Morgan. Neither of them were particularly keen on the idea of unusual or exotic names, so these choices seemed to fit the bill.
Lastly, Camille has decided to go backpacking. Whilst travelling in Ireland, she met her current boyfriend, Sean Callahan. Sean is a physics student, aspiring sci-fi writer and sci fi fan, but despite that they have plenty in common and Camille's even starting to see the appeal in sci-fi. Their relationship was put under a little strain when she decided to continue in her travels, but despite being a new relationship it seems to have withstood the distance, as she's planning on returning to Ireland in a few months to see if they can work out something more permanent together.
