The Kosetsu family has remained essentially unchanged, except that its members are getting older and moving into different roles as time goes on. Marcus continues to teach at a local college while running his business on the side (he now has four full time employees, which he is very excited about). Elia continues to be a preschool teacher and, because she is home in the afternoons, her house has become the neighborhood hangout for Ash, Ty, and their friends (particularly because she always has some kind of food ready for them).
Marci, now 23, didn't make it to the New York Ballet or to Broadway (though she did try, long and hard). She did, however, get into Julliard, and studied Dance there (and took as many acting classes as she could fit in too). She graduated last year and was accepted into the Lyon Opera Ballet, a troupe that is based in Lyon, France. She moved there last year and has been getting integrated into the French culture. Marcus and Elia have been to see her twice, and took Ash and Ty during the summer vacation from school to spend two weeks there.
Ash and Ty are in high school now. They are still very athletically-minded and much prefer to be playing soccer with friends or engaged in their sports of choice (Ash in ice hockey and Ty in karate). The pair does a lot of traveling and keep Elia and Marcus on their toes.
