Meet Sigrun Ellinor Murphy, a two year old girl from Iceland. Sigrun recently lost her parents to a tragic boating accident and her aging relatives decided they didn’t have the means to support her. She doesn’t quite understand her parents’ deaths and hasn’t yet stopped asking for them, but we are sure she will eventually get used to her new life and she will thrive in a loving household like yours. So far we have seen her demonstrate extreme curiosity in most things and she is always asking questions and trying to explore new areas. We are positive she will enjoy traveling with your family and learning from parents who are also passionate teachers.Your two other new children are brothers from Colombia: Alonso Josué and Ignacio León Murphy! The brothers were recently placed in our care after their aunt, who has raised them for the past year, was seriously injured in an episode of gun violence. She felt it was no longer safe for the young boys to live in the area and decided they would have the best chances with a new family. For their part, both boys are adjusting to having new lives and are looking forward to their first plane ride and their first time meeting you. Alonso (5) has minor anxiety due to being near his aunt when she was injured but he has been taking medicine and attending therapy to help him get past these feelings. He’s very protective of Ignacio and has demonstrated great care for the younger children in our nursery so we think he will adjust well to being a big brother to Octavia and Sigrun as well as Ignacio. In his free time, Alonso enjoys basic athletics and sitting alone “imagining”. Since he speaks limited English, Mac’s proficiency in his native Spanish will be helpful for Alonso’s adjustment. Ignacio (2) is developing at a normal level for boys his age and we have seen him demonstrate very strong social skills. He is constantly babbling about something or another and he loves to smile at everyone he sees. Because growing up the boys had little financial means, they have yet to do any major traveling but they tell us they would love to visit other places and we think their personalities are well suited to traveling lifestyles. We are confident that the brothers will fit right in with your family and we know that they’ll make you fall in love with them immediately. Please keep us informed during the children’s transition into your household. We would love to hear from you.

Meet Pharaoh and WincentyMeet Wincenty, an eight-month old boy from Poland! Wincenty has been in our care since his father’s death in a vehicular crash three months ago, and in that time he has delighted everyone with his cheery and adorable nature. He is fairly advanced for his age, already babbling nonsense words constantly and making his first steps, and we think he will grow up to be a very smart boy.Say hello to Pharamond Sylvestre “Pharaoh” McGhee! Pharaoh, a four year old boy from southern France, has been in our care ever since he was a newborn, when his teenaged mother dropped him off and expressed her hope that he would have a better life than what she could give him. We decided to raise him bilingual so he now speaks both basic English and basic French; he won’t stop talking in either language! He’s always been a happy child, constantly bouncing around and swaying to the nursery music, and he interacts well with the other children. So far he has demonstrated an interest in most areas of performance, particularly dancing and acting, and we have seen him develop quite a talent in those areas. Pharaoh is eagerly anticipating having a new family and, though we’ll miss him here, we are confident that he has found a great family. Please keep us informed during the children’s transition into your household. We would love to hear from you.

It's been six months and Pharaoh and Woody are settling well into the McGhee household. Upon adoption Timothy and Annabel decided to change Wincenty's name. He is now called Woodrow Wincenty McGhee and the happy baby boy has the whole family wrapped around his pinkie. Now at fourteen months he is already running around and babbling happily. Annabel's heart melted the first time he called her mamma. Pharaoh fitted right in the family. He was excited the first time he saw Talitha dancing and soon Annabel and Timothy signed him up for dance classes too. He is blossoming there and his teacher says he shows great talent already at this early age. Annabel and Timothy are excited to have little children in their house again and Timothy even skipped a few rounds of golf to be home for the boys bedtime so he can tuck them in. Talitha was a little bit sad as she deep down hopped for a little sister, but now she wouldn't change her brothers for anything. The whole family is currently packing for a month long trip to France. They want to embrace the boys heritage and plan to return to France and Poland often.

Since Silverstarswept never finished hers, I'm going to do the one I was going to use for hers! (Loved this idea, and couldn't let go of it, haha.)Mother:
Name: Winnie Matilda Alexopoulos (neé Jones).
Age: 37.
Occupation: Entrepreneur.
Short Bio: Winnie started her own business - a real estate agency - at 34, and it has just recently started to skyrocket. She has had fertility issues in the past and doesn't want to become pregnant for fear that she will be high-risk and unable to work. Name: Doron Iasos Alexopoulos
Age: 35
Occupation: Stay-At-Home Dad.
Short Bio: Doron and his family emigrated from Greece when he was seven years old. He is an NBA football player, but has decided to retire when they adopt so he can spend as much time with his children as possible and his wife can do what she loves. He is caring, nurturing, humorous, self-sacrificing, clever, and passionate. He is a dedicated Greek Orthodox and attends church every week, and plans to take his children as well (he and his wife have agreed to raise them Greek Orthodox).Location: The countryside of Maine.
Main Language: English.
Other Languages: Winnie speaks Hebrew and Doron speaks Greek.
Religions: Greek Orthodox, Jewish.
Pets: None.
Anything Else: Winnie has a panic disorder that she takes medication for, as well as minor depression.Preferred Number: Two.

Preferred Age: At least 3.
Preferred Religions: Greek Orthodox.
Preferred Nationalities: None, but they must speak English.
Siblings: Preferred.
Multiples: Yes.
Children with a criminal record: No.
Physically handicapped or mentally handicapped: Physically, yes, mentally, no (Winnie gets very impatient with anybody below her mental capacity and wouldn't be able to connect with them the same way).
Teen parents or pregnant teens: Children with teen parents (assuming the teen parents WON'T BE ADOPTED), yes, pregnant teens, no.
Mentally ill children: They will accept children with any form of anxiety or depression (things Winnie knows how to handle).
Anything else: They would prefer a closed adoption until/unless the children express interest in creating relationships with their biological family. They will accept more than two children if siblings would otherwise be split up, even if they are younger than three.

Meet Annie and RobbMeet Annie and Robb! Annalise May “Annie” (11) and Robert Bear “Robb” (9) are siblings from Baltimore, Maryland, who have been in our care for about a year now after their parents fell prey to the growing opioid crisis (their mother overdosed and their father is in and out of treatment). Both children have some trust issues from the ordeal and while they have been in our care they have tended to rely on each other rather than let other people in. However, we are sure that they can get past these uncertainties with some counseling and a loving home. They attribute their religion, Greek Orthodoxy, to helping them get through the trials and tribulations life brought them and they both are very devout. Of the pair, Annie is the book-smart, creative one. She loves to read and paint and will sometimes sit still for hours, simply thinking. This tendency to have her head in the clouds has sometimes led her to not accept reality, something which Robb has always tried to protect her from. While he doesn’t have as good of grades in school, he is very smart and down to earth. He enjoys playing sports, especially football (when he first learned that his new dad is an NFL player he thought it was too good to be true but now he’s just extremely excited about it) and basketball, and he likes building stuff in his free time. We think that their traits make them a good fit for your family and we are sure you will love them as much as we do.Please keep us informed during the children’s transition into your household. We would love to hear from you.

It's been six months since Annie and Robb moved into the Alexopoulos household.Although Winnie was worried that she would have problems nurturing her maternal gene, she fell in love with Annie and Robb just as quickly as Doron did. Winnie has opened up about her struggles with anxiety to them and not only convinced them to try therapy - which really helped them with their trust issues - but has taught them coping techniques. Winnie has taught Annie to paint to UNDERSTAND and cope with her feeling she rather than escape them, and Doron is teaching Robb how to play football like a professional. Doron and Winnie have decided to homeschool them, figuring that since both of them are home for the most part, they will have more opportunity to teach and be around their children. The transition from two people to four people was surprisingly easy, and everyone is very happy!
