I prefer Imogen by a wide margin. Imogene sounds a little too backwoods-y to me. Also, I know a young lady named Imogene but it's prn. EYE-moh-gene, and her nn is Jean. She's named after her grandmother. But she isn't terribly friendly, and I really dislike the pronunciation of her name.
