[Facts] Re: No one is helping @ the surname message board so... PLEASE HELP
According to A Dictionary of English Surnames by Reaney & Wilson, Urie, Urry, and Ury are English surnames which go back to a Norman French pronunciation of the Old English given name Wulfric. Wulfric itself was formed from Old English words meaning "wolf" and "power."
