There may be no other reason. They heard something similar, they saw it somewhere, they thought of it and liked the look, the sound.
I have a name with spelling altered from the original in the name book basically because my mom wanted to. She's told me why she liked one letter better than another and one ending better than another, but basically it comes down to she liked it better.
So much of naming is "we liked it". Sometimes there is symbolism or deeper meaning to a person's name, but plenty of times there is not. In your case, it's a unique name and they liked it for you. Other than that, a group of internet strangers can't read their minds to find out more.
