I'm Spanish and I was surprised to see it on the chart, I've never heard or seen it before. After a little research I could find it's the name of a sanctuary (Santuari del Vinyet) in Sitges, Barcelona, and I assume the usage was influenced by that (cf. Ares, which is also the name of a sanctuary in Catalonia).In addition, vinyet is the Catalan word for "vineyard".I wouldn't say it's modern, it was barely used at the start of the 50s but started to rise in the 90s.
