I knew someone named Liana who grew up in Hawaii (Oahu). You say Liana exactly as it’s spelled, with the ‘i’ pronounced as a hard ‘e’ as in ‘tree,’ not a soft ‘e’ as in ‘leg.’ The ‘a’ (both) are pronounced like an ‘ah’. So all together, it’s like saying lee-ah-nah.
