Re: Naming my new daughter....
in reply to a message by Lori
I love that movie! I've always loved it and the name Elora Danen. But like you, I thought it was spelled Alora. After doing some research on the word "Elora", I've found that there are some caves in the East Indies which bear the name Ellora. However, they are quite commonly spelled Elora. This information is available on the net. Apparantly these caves were believed to have been hollowed out between the 4th and 9th century and contain several religious temples in them. I hope this helps. If you ever find out for certain what it means, I'd love to know!Jennifer

I loved that name also! I liked it because to me it was unique. I am not really big on common names. I heard the name in Willow also, and on April 22nd,2000 Alora Lois was born! I could only come up with Aldora in findings. Sorry! But, I have met two other little girls since then who were named Alora also. They were both spunky, and independent! Maybe we can start our own meaning! Ha, HaCongrats and good luck with your little Alora,
