Maya (or Maia): Very pretty. I prefer the Maia spelling, although Maya might be easier to live with. My son has a friend who spells it Mya.
Halkyone: It's interesting, if kinda unwieldy. I think it's better than Halcyone.
Daria: I really like it. Darius is one of my favorite male names. I don't like Daria as much, but I still think it's great.
Emery: I prefer Emory, and I prefer it on a boy. It's too reminiscent of manicures on a girl.
Eden: I like it. It has always sounded sort of artsy and free spirited to me, but I know many people think it sounds stripperish.
Ria: Looks like it was chopped off the end of Maria or Victoria. I don't think it stands well on its own.
Aspen: Nice enough, though I don't really like it. I always think of it as more of a place name than a botanical name. Everard: It's okay. I'm more of an Everett girl.
Cyrus: Great name!
Talon: Horrendous name! I can't get behind naming a child Claw, Fang, Beak, or any other body part predators use to rip into their prey; I don't get how Talon ever gained ground.
Sterling: Foppish. I picture a Sterling as having very soft hands, a weak chin, and an unhealthy relationship with his mother. I don't hate the name, but I'm never going to like it.
